When I look at furniture, I try to take into account the style of our home and our personal tastes, too. I tend to like modern country while my hubby likes rustic country. In keeping with those themes, I think I have found the perfect office desk in a rustic furniture style at Scenic Furniture. It's the walnut 3 drawer corner desk and it is gorgeous. I think I could get really creative with my writing at a desk like that. ;-) It reminds me of my childhood when we lived in a log home. Of course, I'd have to find some matching bookshelves, too. I can never have too many of those. What would your dream desk look like?

I have always, always wanted a roll top desk. I just love them. My cousin had one that I adored, but she gave it away to someone else. I'm actually planning to build my own one day, which I think will make me love it twice as much.
That is a gorgeous desk you found though! Neat website. :)
It would have papers scattered on the floor about it and a misadventuoros Mommy Splayed (can I say splayed on the web? Too crude? "SPLAYED"... Nope-- no crudeness in my imagination...) a-crest...
Sounds like it is fit for the classic study of a rich tycoon.
Imagine the dark oak book shelves, and the Monet or Picasso exhibited proudly on the wall!
My dream desk would be the sand on a tropical island with a lounge chair instead of a desk chair! That would be perfect!
I worked in a roofing company many moons ago in an office with a position that was created for me and so I was permitted to go to this HUGE warehouse filled with office furniture and pick out what I wanted. I had the most amazing desk ever! It was a corner desk and it was just big and old. Being it was used it had so much character to it. Weathered, 'worn in' and beautiful little marks here and there that made it unique. I wish I could have smuggled the desk out the door with me when I packed up the rest of my things and left that job behind.
Roll top desks are fab, too...I love old fashioned things.
Lanny, it would be perfect for a rich tycoon! LOL
Cygnus...don't know what to say. :-P lol
Misadventurous Mommy...that sounds good, too, if you're a beach person. ;-) (I'm not.)
Undermedicated Mama...that sounds like the perfect desk. Maybe they still have it and would sell it some day?
"Sprawled" would have been a better word. Twelve hours later it re-entered my grey matter...
And rolltops are uber-cool...
